For additionalinformation, visit DescriptionThe Materials Handling Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the work ofemployees who handle materials, supplies, and finished products.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains inventory, which includes keeping records in an inventorymanagement system, acquiring additional stock as required, anddistributing items from stock to fulfill requisitions.Ensures safe operation of equipment used to move and transport materials toand from the storage areas of the facility.Organizes and coordinates activities and staff schedules, ensuringfulfillment goals are met and that shipments are timely, accurate, andundamaged.Collaborates with managers and other departments to develop and modifymaterials handling processes and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:Hires and trains materials handlers.Oversees the daily workflow and scheduling of the Materials Handlingdepartment.Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordancewith company policy.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business or related field or comparable experiencepreferred.
