Data Center Logistics SpecialistAmazon is seeking adventurous logistics professionals for our Amazon WebServices Team. These future Amazonians must be willing to undergo vetting fora government clearance and be willing to relocate to Denver, CO for theirpermanent working location. Amazon Web Services invites best-in-classlogistics professionals to join an elite team to build and maintain one of theworld's largest information system infrastructures. The ideal candidatepossesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meetdeadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence.Logistics Specialists monitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stocklevels are maintained to support build and repair activities. They receiveparts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data CenterTechnicians and Engineers. They will also be responsible for loading andunloading shipments and transporting parts between different locations,including localized driving of a variety of transportation vehicles. Thisposition involves frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials andproducts. Logistics Specialists will be required to keep precise records ofall commodities going in and out of company. They must also maintain thecleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspace environments.The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse ordistribution environment, as well as experience and knowledge of reverselogistics processes. Additionally, it is recommended that candidates becomfortable working in Microsoft Excel to create and modify spreadsheets,perform data manipulation, and generate inventory tracking reports.This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess,or be willing to undergo processing for, an active TS/SCI securityclearance with polygraph.Physical / Environmental Demands* Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time.* Typically work is in a warehouse environment where the noise level is loud.* Occasionally work is in an office environment where the noise level is lowto moderate.* Occasionally assist in loading and unloading shipments.* Occasionally exposed to extreme cold or hot weatherWork Environment* Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts* Noise level varies and can be loud* Temperatures between 40 and 90 degrees, and will occasionally exceed 90degreesHere at AWS, we embrace our differences.
