Reference No.: J3V7GZ6RXC2QDMXV0G9POSITION SUMMARY:Leads activities of shipping and receiving department to insure orders areprepared for shipment and shipped orders are received.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Reviews paperwork for incoming merchandise and customer orders in order todistribute work activities to team.* Loads/unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelvesby hand.* Prepares inventory for shipment. Properly bands and shrink wraps pallets,and attaches shipping labels.* Processes shipping orders using computerized shipping system and monitorsorder pick report.* Loads and unloads trucks and insures trucks are loaded by Shippers.* Maintains warehouse inventory on racks in a neat and orderly manner.* Trains Shippers/Receivers as assigned.* Tracks shipping errors* Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:* Must be a trained and qualified forklift operator, with current/validlicense.* Ability to communicate in English.* Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction,multiplying, dividing, and counting.* Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to useall safety features of the equipment.* Knowledge of products manufactured or warehoused at that plant.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:* High school diploma or general education degree (GED).* Three years as a Shipper/Receiver or equivalent experience.* Minimum three years' experience using RF scanner.* Minimum three years' experience processing packages for UPS/FedEx.* Basic computer skills are required for data-entry and printing labels.Familiarity with Excel and Word preferred.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must bemet by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisjob.
