Holcim (US) Inc. Diesel Technician in Broomfield, Colorado
Responsible for maintaining the uptime and asset availability within the designated fleet. Performs the appropriate inspections, preventative and corrective repairs on fleet of vehicle/mobile equipment. Informs supervisor of vehicle condition that could impact readiness and safe operation. Prepares all daily/weekly operating, safety, and maintenance reports as required. The positions main focus will surround a ready mix concrete truck fleet with occasional work on light duty support vehicles and front end loaders used to support Plant / Production activities.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures. Provide repair and maintenance to diesel and gasoline engines. Adjust and repair engine, transmission, driveline, electronic control, and mixer body applications.
Maintain and repair chassis, frames and bodies. To include but not limited to cutting, grinding, welding, and fabrication of equipment within the company’s safety standards.
Work with hoisting and jacking equipment, power tools, measuring instruments, gauges / meters, and advanced diagnostic equipment.
Assist in the preventative maintenance program focused around safety, reduced cost of ownership and maximizing fleet up time.
Assist with supporting equipment breakdowns and performing field repairs as necessary.
Perform shop administrative functions such as maintenance scheduling and spare parts inventory control to support daily tracking tasks and functions.
Performs quality inspections on completed jobs; ensures conformance with policies, procedures, and safety codes. Ensures proper documentation of maintenance and repair activities in logs and/or incident reports.
Maintain an effective system of communications with all channels of the business.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: High School diploma/GED
Additional Education Preferred: Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems and welding skills desired. Knowledge and use of VMRS, fleet maintenance tracking software, Manufacturer software platforms. Ie: Cummins Insite / Quickserve, Cat ET, Paccar Davie4 / ESA, Daimler DDEC / DTNA, Bendix Acom Etc… Some technical education preferred, experience substituted in lieu of formal education.
Required Work Experience: 2+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified herein.
Required Licenses/Certifications:Class B CDL minimum
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: ASE T1 – T8, OEM / Mfg. designated training, OSHA 10 & 30
Required Computer and Software Skills: Working proficiency with computers and ability to perform email correspondence, data entry functions, and use of web based tools for repair and maintenance functions. Occasional use of Google G Suite and Microsoft Office software platforms.
Travel Requirements: Minimal local travel
Applicant must be able to provide tools necessary to perform the functions and requirement within the Maintenance Dept.
Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English)
Familiarity with Class 8 mixer trucks, front end loaders, light duty pickups / suv’s
