DescriptionOBJECTIVE:Transports our GoodWheels clients to their personal appointments, communityservice programs, community resources and any other events via shuttle van.REQUIREMENTSAt Goodwill's expense, the driver must be willing to be certified in CPRand 1stA valid Colorado driver's license without a history of violations with atwo-year safe driving record is required.Must be between the ages of 25 and 70 for insurance purposes.This position has tremendous flexibility in allowing you to set up your ownregular schedule; On the application, please state your hours ofavailability (GoodWheels offers our clients transportation services (M - Ffrom 4:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m.).Must maintain a professional attitude, appropriate hygiene,dress/grooming and be punctual/dependable.Incumbent must be able to perform heavy lifting and sitting for prolongedperiods.Occasional overtime may be required.Must be comfortable driving in inclement weather.OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCESHigh School diploma or GED preferred.Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with various typesof internal and external customers (disabled, seniors, etc.)KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS {Essential Functions}TransportationThe Van Driver must have compassion and understanding for all GoodWheelsclients. The driver must be able to read and understand road maps,maintain, follow and adjust schedule of client pick-up and drop off times.The incumbent will follow rules and regulations for driving within the stateof Colorado.Van Maintenance and SafetyThe Van Driver is responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle's interiorand exterior. The driver will ensure all clients utilize seat belts at alltimes as well as assist clients on and off the vans at all times. The driverwill ensure the vehicle's tank is maintained at least half full at all times.Tracking and ReportingThe Van Driver will conduct and document vehicle inspection sheet of thevehicle prior to operating and report any vehicle deficiencies to thesupervisor immediately. The driver will maintain a good working knowledge ofvehicle accident reporting.Relationship ManagementThe Van Driver will communicate effectively with clients, co-workers andstaff personnel. In addition, the driver will engage and maintainconversations/ interactions/responses with clients that encourageindependence and respect. The incumbent will also perform all other duties asassigned or directed by supervisor.Background Check Requirements**Per the Code of Colorado Regulations - Public Utilities Commission 6712.Criminal history Checks:(a) Before permitting an individual to act as a driver on its digitalnetwork, a TNC shall obtain andreview a criminal history record check for the individual that complies withC.R.S. 40-10.1-605(3)(a). If a privately administered national criminal historyrecord check is used, custody of therecord check shall be direct from the entity administering the check to theTNC.(b) If a privately administered national criminal history record check isconducted, the TNC shallobtain the applicant's social security number (or Alien RegistrationNumber/USCIS Number orForm I-94 Admission Number), birth date, and driver's license number.(c) The identifying information obtained in paragraph (b) shall be runthrough national and county orstatewide criminal background databases or other similar commercial databasesand validatedthrough a primary source search. These searches shall include, at minimum,the National SexOffender Registry and, in jurisdictions where an applicant has lived, afederal district courtrecords search, a county criminal records...
