Denver Public Schools Bus Driver - NON CDL in Denver, Colorado

NON-CDL SCHOOL BUS DRIVERLocation: Transportation Department, Northeast and Hilltop TerminalsSchedule: Flexible hours - morning and afternoon, or work both shiftsWork Year: Hourly, benefits-eligible with minimum hoursNew Competitive Wage: $16.40 per hourExcellent Benefits: Eligible with minimum hoursEssential Functions and Objectives:The Non-CDL Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and efficienttransportation of elementary, middle, and high school students,including students with special needs, on regular routes, excursions,and athletic trips. The school bus driver must meet all Federal State andLocal requirements, obey all traffic laws and operate the school bus safely.Knowledge, Experience, and Other Qualifications:- Must be at least 21 years of age.- Must have a valid State of Colorado driver's license.- Must meet district insurability requirements for driving a district vehicle.- Must meet the Colorado Department of Education FMCSR Part 382 requirements.- Must pass Department of Transportation physical (DOT)- Certification in CPR is preferred. (within first 90 days of employment)- Knowledge of city of Denver landmarks and streets preferred.- Ability to work effectively as a team member.- Ability to multi-task and complete work with frequent interruptions.- Ability to communicate clearly in English, in both written and oral formats.Physical and Environmental Conditions: Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent.About Denver Public Schools:Thank you for your interest in the DPS Transportation Services Department.
