Doyou have a passion for supporting our Nation's veterans? If so, this isthe place to be!Position OverviewThe Distribution Facility Manager is responsible for supervision of thewarehouse team. This role is responsible for maintaining proper and smoothfunctioning of all warehouse activities..Responsibilities Maintains warehouse in neat, clean, safe and organized condition.Ensures that equipment is stocked in appropriate areas. Responsible for sending daily and weekly reports, as required. Acts as liaison with Customer Service to ensure customer needs arefulfilled. Provides excellent customer service with all internal/external personnel. Performs weekly, quarterly and yearly physical inventory per the CFOrequirements. Manages count sheets and approves inventory discrepancies. Supervises stocking of shelves and maintenance of inventory. Reports stock shortages and product needs in a timely matter to theDirector - Inventory Distribution for processing of PO to vendor. Processes Drop Ships to approved vendor in a timely matter. Maintains awareness of safety considerations in the warehouse includinguse of pallet jack, forklift, ladders, movement of equipment, andlifting and carrying. Performs weekly safety and security training with staff. Supervises/performs the shipping and receiving operations. Supervisescheck-in and proper storage of all incoming freight and UPS/Fed Exdeliveries. Maintains proper documentation of same. Assists staff in selection and packing of proper equipment and suppliesas necessary. Transports packages to local postal service when unable to ship viaconventional methods. Maintains purchase orders, back order/open order report. Ensuresthat product is ordered in a timely manner and ships prior to month endclosing Schedules delivery of incoming quarterly buys. Responsible for scheduling and managing employee time and PTO in Paychex. Writes and performs annual employee reviews. Responsible for interviewing process with candidates for warehousepositions; including working with temporary staffing agencies. Provides input and recommendations on employee hiring, disciplinaryaction, and termination actions. Acts as contact for Security Company when there is an alarm. Seeks continuous improvement of all warehouse operations; participatesin process improvement initiatives. Maintains confidentiality of employee and patient information inaccordance with company policy and HIPAA regulations.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis role is responsible for supervision of all Warehouse staff at adesignated warehouse location.Qualifications and Education Requirements Five years prior warehouse experience or related supervisory experiencerequired Experience with Microsoft Office applications required, Great Plainspreferred Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem analysis and problem resolutioncapabilitiesCompetencies Self-starter Ability to work independently, and in teams, to consistently meetcommitments Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Utilizes proactive approach to issues and problem solving Attention to detail and work quality Desire and motivation to learn new skills and expand knowledge toimprove job performance and self-improvement Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicateeffectively with all levels Strives for excellence and upholds organizational standards such ascooperation and confidentialityWork Environment:This job operates in a warehouse environment.
