FUNDAMENTAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Replenish slots and store incoming product using forklift and pallet jacks. Performs job in accordance with preferred work methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Inspects product being moved for damage, quality, or deterioration of packing.

  2. Places product in proper location maintaining proper rotation and confirm through RF WMS System.

  3. Maintains the neatness and accuracy of assigned aisles.

  4. Inspects materials used in moving products in warehouse and correct or report any faulty equipment; ie pallets, forklifts, pallet jacks, WMS equipment, etc.

  5. Removes any tape or shrink-wrap from pallets before placing in pick slot.

  6. Loading trucks.

  7. Safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.

  8. Follow the PWM’s (Preferred Work Methods) for warehouse.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Maintains a safe work area at all times.

  2. Insures that assigned aisles are full and ready for night shipping.

  3. Reports to receiver any discrepancies in information immediately for notation on receiver worksheet.

  4. Keeps work area clean and free of damaged product.

  5. Replenishes slots in uniform manner as directed; using FIFO methodology.

  6. Utilize fall protection equipment when appropriate.

  7. Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor

  8. Properly maintains equipment that is assigned, and or signed for.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. NON-PHYSICAL

  1. High School degree preferred.

  2. 1-year forklift experience and 1 year warehouse experience

  3. Successful completion of in-house forklift and pallet jack training.

  4. Good Communications skills.

  5. Must be able to read and write in English.

B. PHYSICAL

  1. MUST – Be able to drive a FORKLIFT AND PALLET JACK.

  2. Ability to select product onto floats and load product into trucks.

  3. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 – 100 pounds continuously.

  4. Amount of each day spent:Standing 45% to 50% Walking 45% to 50% Sitting 0% to 10% Total 100 %
