Job SummaryTolin Mechanical is a leading provider of commercial HVAC Services. Tolin specializes in energy efficient mechanical service to lower energy costs and maintain a comfortable environment for over 1500 clients across the Rocky Mountains, Southwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.

Tolin Mechanical is looking for a self-motivated and professional Material Coordinator to join the team. This position reports to the Manager of Logistics. Material Coordinators are responsible for performing tasks that support internal and external customers. Our internal customers could include but is not limited to technicians, managers, and sales. Out external customers are our service and project customers as well as vendors supplying materials and outside services. A Material Coordinator must have the ability to be professional and use strong customer service skills to all customers. This position requires being organized, the ability to adapt to a fast paced environment, and the ability to learn multiple management systems Tolin has developed for fleet, tools, deliveries, and materials. Being a Material Coordinator requires a level of teamwork and communication. While each Material Coordinator has specific responsibilities, each coordinator is required to understand all responsibilities and have the ability to help with all tasks.

In addition to having excellent communication skills and a hard-working attitude, our ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate safe practices and meet our physical requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and equipment

  • Utilize assistive devices – hoists and lifts – to lift and guide materials

  • Use protective devices – padding, straps, etc. to prevent damage during delivery

  • Comply with Tolin’s safety rules and guidelines

  • Follow instructions regarding daily tasks and duties

  • Operate company vehicles in a responsible manner

  • Ability to take instruction and meet changing conditions

  • Provide logistical support to the field

  • Customer Service skills with internal and external customers (customers, technicians, vendors, contractors, etc.)

  • Tactically coordinate driver's daily schedules

  • Primary receiver of requests via phone or email from project and service for materials and outside service support

  • Understand Fleet and Tool Management systems

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

  • Work as a team to complete all tasks

Qualifications and Skills

  • The ability to bend and lift heavy materials

  • Willingness to work flexible hours

  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

  • Certification to operate a forklift (not required but a bonus)

  • Excellent communication skills & attendance

  • Ability to take initiative

  • Detail and Deadline Oriented

  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism

  • Phone and computer skills (Microsoft Suites - Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)

  • Organized and able to meet deadlines

  • Knowledge of parts and tools (not required but a bonus)

  • Ability to adapt and make changes in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to learn how to operate tools, equipment, etc.
