The Auto Transport Technician is responsible for all types of repair on carhauler trucks and trailers. This position requires related work experience inareas including building or repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers,hydraulics, and MIG welding.We offer a full benefits package including medical, dental, life,disability insurance, 401(K), HSA match, FSA, paid time off and anemployee car discount program for eligible employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES andRESPOPerform work as outlined in repair order.Fabricate parts.Install components such as PTOs, pumps, motors and cylinders.Repair and/or replace suspension components as needed.Test operation of completed unit.Trouble shoot and repair customer units in the service shop and in the fieldwhen necessary.Diagnose and repair ABS and lighting issues.Remove, replace and repair upper/lower rails.Perform DOT inspections on equipment.Maintain cleanliness of work area.Install and test hydraulic systems.Other duties as assigned by the manager.WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ABILITIES:Required to perform work inside and outside, in all-weather situations, atthe shop division location.Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping forprolonged periods of time.Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands andarms and lift up to 80 lbs.Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.Normal range of hearing and vision.
