As an Avionics Technician III, you will be using your skills andexpertise to repair and maintain electronic systems involved with theoperation of an aircraft. You'll be responsible for installing, testing,troubleshooting, and repairing our aircraft avionics and electrical systemcomponents and keeping our aircraft in airworthy condition.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance), Aviation,and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it isa leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator forinnovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance,and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations -with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.Must-haves:High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years ofrelevant experienceA higher-level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationAbility to understand and interpret basic applicable technical schematics,diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to routewires per technical drawingsAdvanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiringrepair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniquesAn active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredPreferred:Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROLBasic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pitot staticequipmentBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department ofDefense or US MilitaryImportant Notice:This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
