PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Performs inspections, make adjustments and repairs, replaces components,and corrects any malfunctions or deficiencies with and without power appliedto aircraftPerforms aircraft avionics maintenance in accordance with applicable technicaldata, SOPs and FAA/JAA regulationsAccesses, removes and re-installs aircraft components including mechanicaland electrical which obstruct the performance of assigned repair/replace tasksAssists with repairs on off-aircraft components such as switch panels,circuit breaker panels, and junction boxesPerforms basic mechanical and electrical removals and installationsPerforms troubleshooting of all avionics/mission systems(as applicable)installed on the aircraftDocuments work performedFabricates parts/wire harness and installs per engineering drawings andinstructionsAssists in troubleshooting off-aircraft components such as switch panels,circuit breaker panels, and junction boxesComplies with all environmental, health, and safety policies and proceduresPerforms other tasks such as cleaning aircraft using approved materials,methods and equipmentAssists in updating and completion of work orders and operation details;assists with on-going maintenance tasks when avionics specific tasks arecompleteAnalyzes and develops solutions to complex electronic problemsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:High School Diploma. Relevant work experience may substitute for requirededucation.6+ Years, including advanced certification in related areaFCC License preferredFAA repair station experience is desiredExperience on DoD/fixed wing turboprop and rotary wing aircraft is desiredKnowledge of reading, interpreting drawings, diagrams, and manuals;aircraft avionics/other systems; wire coding systems; avionics test equipment;Knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job;Skilled using basic hand tools, operate ground support equipment,troubleshoot engine electrical/electronic systems, and measuring using avariety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job functionImportant Notice:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S.Security Clearance.
