Sierra Nevada Corporation Avionics Technician - Straight Flight in Englewood, Colorado

We are seeking an Avionics Technician with a high school diploma or GEDequivalent and at least of 5 years of relevant experience. In thischallenging, fast-paced environment, you'll have the opportunity toapply your knowledge and experience with aircraft systems to support thedesign and creation of the most groundbreaking aerospace and defensetechnologies - those that exist today and those that will shape tomorrow.What to look forward to: As an Avionics Technician, you will be usingyour skills and expertise to repair and maintain electronic systems involvedwith the operation of an aircraft. You'll be responsible for installing,testing, troubleshooting, and repairing our aircraft avionics andelectrical system components and keeping our aircraft in airworthy condition.Job Description:Employee must have experience in all types of electrical aircraft maintenanceon both piston and jet aircraft in the general aviation arena. Knowledge ofpiston, turboprop, and jet engine electrical is required to accomplishedtroubleshooting and inspection of all types of airframes and engines. Sometravel both domestic and international may be required to recover damagedaircraft or repair aircraft at the customer facility. Employee must beproficient in all aircraft manufacturer's support manuals to allow completeresearch into required maintenance functions. Straight Flight is a verydiverse facility that works on all types of aircraft from antique piston tolarge corporate jets.Applicant Requirements:Technical License - Minimum Airframe Lic required with electricaltroubleshooting experienceMinimum of 5 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience in generalaviation and corporate aircraft is a requirementExperience with electrical system troubleshooting is a must for this position- schematic reading capacity will be tested before acceptance.Must have own hand tools to complete any maintenance function.Understanding of all aircraft manufacturers Maintenance Manuals, IllustratedParts Catalogs, Structural Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins is a must.Excellent written and vocal skills, ability to communicate well.Experience with computerized maintenance manuals a plus.No limitations on confined space entry and ability to lift 50 poundsNo drug or alcohol convictions within the last 3 yearsMust be able to pass background checkSalary and Benefits4 - day work week, 10 hour days.
