OverviewMeadow Gold, a DFA Dairy Brands Company, is excited to announce an Openingfor a Case Dock Laborer!We offer excellent benefits and competitive pay with great growthopportunities!4:00AM start time / 4 - 12 hour shifts / rotating days on and offStarting Rate: $18.33 (then goes up based on experience)This position is eligible for benefits as prescribed by the CollectiveBargaining Agreement (CBA) that governs this positionJob Description and RequirementsThe Case Dock Worker is responsible for ensuring empty cases are available toproduction departments to meet production schedules and to provide assistanceto shipping by moving trailers as requested and according to establishedCompany policies and procedures.The Case Dock Worker is also responsible for maintaining and cleaning allequipment in assigned area.Slide Case Stacks from truck using Milk Hook or Pallet Jack as appropriate.Ensure conveyor tracks are filled with empty cases to prevent productiondelays.Confirm empty case area is full of cases at end of shift in order to help nextshift with production run.Safely handle all materials.Correctly prioritize which truck to empty first based on input fromSupervisors or Yard Drivers.Continuously scan the area and straighten up to reduce trip and slip hazards.Spot broken or otherwise unusable cases and remove them to the designatedarea.Handle returned and truck inventory product as instructed.Ensure trailers are unloaded and washed in a timely and efficient manner whilekeeping dock doors closed at all times when not in use.Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurateformat, and completed with required information.Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifyingopportunities to improve processes.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of allrequired PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemicalhandling, fall restraints, etc.Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality relatedto designated area.Report any food safety and food quality related issues to managementimmediately.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience preferred but not required.Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure,using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend virtuallythe entire shift.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting isnecessary.Must be able to work in a wet environment.May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals.[Delete if not Ice cream plant: For ice cream plants: Exposure to nutallergens.]Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends andholidays.Be able to effectively work in a team environment.Be able to legibly write entries for record keeping.Ability to work in a fast paced environment.Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks(including criminal).EEO StatementEqual Opportunity EmployerEEO is The Law - click here for more informationEEO StatementCalifornia applicants, click here for information regarding the datacollection notice for California Consumer Privacy Act.
