Job Description:

This position reports to 1 or multiple Category managers and interfaces with procurement staff (category managers, etc.), the Director of Category Management, SVP of Procurement, Pricing, and Logistics, and Sales leadership. The Procurement Intern will gain exposure to the following areas:

• Category management

• Category research and development

• Procurement systems, basic office systems

• General procurement

• Sales

• The big picture of how a Fortune 200 company runs, how a distribution company runs, and how Procurement fits in

• Candy, snack, and beverage industry (Food/Bev)

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Commodity research and tracking

• Supplier score-carding based on findings

• Other related duties as assigned

Skills the intern will learn:

• Interdepartmental collaboration

• Strategic planning process

• Category research and introduction

• Category management

• Giving presentations in a professional/corporate settingOur onboarding paperwork includes a confidentiality agreement. Candidate should be local to Denver area. Unfortunately, we do not have any Relocation Assistance or housing assistance for our internships.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be current student, with a minimum of 3.0 GPA in field of study

• Must be available for a 10-12 week, full-time internship in Englewood starting May 24

• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Studying Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Marketing, management, Economics, or related field
