Job Summary
Responsible for developing a robust inventory management system partnering closely with operations, program management, production control, and sourcing. Develop a high performing team of inventory analysts with the ultimate goal of optimizing inventory and improving supply chain service levels through a combination of historical analysis, statistical forecasting, and managing inventory planning as an integral part of the S&OP process. Additionally, manage and develop warehouse/logistics team to ensure traceability of materials, quick turnarounds of receipts, and ensuring that product is shipped on time.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Develop & manage data-driven inventory management process to maintain optimal inventory levels, improve turns, and support internal and external demand
Supervise and oversee team of inventory analysts, material handlers, configuration specialist, and shipping & receiving personnel
Maintain work instructions and ensures direct reports are adequately trained and cross-trained so they are fully capable of performing their duties.
Support S&OP process through data analysis, inventory planning, and developing strategies & processes to optimize inventory while ensuring the necessary service levels
Work closely with procurement/sourcing org to ensure purchase orders align with inventory strategy, support last-time buy discussions, and optimize order parameters based on demand
Manage inventory accuracy working closely with shipping/receiving/material handling activities including, but not limited to a structured cycle count program
Champion continuous improvement to support business processes and improve internal metrics and external customer satisfaction
Provide and report out on inventory analysis to Division Leadership on a monthly basis
Manage physical inventory process on at least a yearly basis
Review adjustments made by Inventory Analysts
Maintain the required reports for Sarbanes Oxley (or similar) accountability as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Inventory department. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university; and 7 or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.
3+ years materials/inventory experience
3+ years supervisor experience
3+ years in Aerospace/Aviation experience preferred
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, data mining, and report development skills
Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels
Organization, detail oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task, and meet deadlines
Computer Skills
Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Detailed knowledge of Material Planning Requirements (MRP) software systems
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
CPIM or similar Supply Chain certification preferred
Lean and/or Six Sigma
