Fremont RE-2 Substitute Bus Driver in Florence, Colorado

Position: Substitute Bus DriverDuties: Operate assigned school bus in compliance with procedures containedin the District's policy and procedures, including all local, state andfederal laws.Performs daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle.Maintains student conduct to insure the safety of all students.Completes appropriate paperwork in a timely manner.Attends training programs, meetings and in-services as required by thedistrict or the state.Promote good feelings and high morale within the School District bymaintaining a positive relationship with co-workers and other DistrictemployeesAdministers first aid as necessary.Reports all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management orappropriate authorities.Requirements: Must have a CDL P2S Class B License or obtain when hired(the school district provides training).Positive individual with neat, clean appearance; pleasant, courteous demeanor.Proven work record demonstrating reliability, flexibility and initiative.Ability to comply with all State, Federal, Colorado Department ofEducation and School District policy regulating transportationHigh school diploma or GEDAbility and demeanor to instruct and control large groups of children orspecial needs children while safely driving a bus.Knowledge of discipline strategies preferredHave good communication skillsAble to pass written tests and First Aid courseMust pass extensive background checkMust have a clean driving recordAble to pass CDOT physical including drug testWages: Wages according to the Substitute Salary ScheduleShifts: Mornings and afternoonsBenefits: Benefits according to the classified handbookJob Site: Florence, CoApplication Instructions: If you meet the minimum requirements for thisposition, please click on How to Apply to view application information.
