Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Aircraft Engine Mechanic without more than normal supervision. Applicants must meet the screen out element to be considered further. Screen out element: maintaining and repairing rotary wing aircraft engines to include portions of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and a variety of less complex maintenance functions. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, and abilities) in the following areas: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision Screen OutAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc.Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Trouble Shooting Physical effort: Must be able to stand for long periods of time; or endure recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching. Must possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is performed inside shops, aircraft, or outside in varying weather conditions. Exposed to high frequency and high intensity noises. Dirt, dust, grease, and fumes are normally present. Danger of the possibility of cuts, burns, shocks, strains, falls, and eye or skin irritations is possible.

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a Career Program (CP) 15 position. Initial cut-off date is 30 April 2020, and other cut-off dates as needed, with closing of the register on 31 October 2020. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
