DISH Supply Chain Program Specialist in Littleton, Colorado

The Supply Chain Program Specialist will be responsible for supporting strategic and operational activities of the Supply Chain and Inventory teams. They will be someone who is driven, organized, detailed oriented and enjoys developing business processes to eliminate ambiguity. They will participate in Supply Chain initiatives, program/project management, and communicate with all levels of the organization. They will be adept at facilitating actions, managing relationships, and influencing others to perform at the highest level.

Primary Responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Assist in developing program plans and reporting metrics to aid the team to work strategically, tactically and efficiently

  • Assist in creating detailed purchase plans for material requirement planning, multi-source vendor qualification, and process improvement initiatives

  • Participate in meetings to track progress against plans and resolve issues to keep the programs on time

  • Familiar with the field of demand-supply planning and inventory management, you will participate in the development for best-in-class supply chain planning processes

  • Engage in process improvements and tool development towards efficiency and efficacy gains in planning, inventory management and fulfillment (forward and reverse)

  • Work in collaboration with IT, Distribution, Fulfillment and PMO, to participate in developing and executing multiple projects/programs in support of long term process and system capability roadmap

    A successful Supply Chain Program Specialist will have the following:

  • 0 - 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain and/or Program Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Familiar with fundamental practices and procedures of Supply Chain

  • Passionate about team environments and building robust relationships across the organization

  • Participated in multiple supply chain projects/programs

  • Analytical skills in operations and finance

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) as well as outstanding written and communication skills

  • Ability to create consensus and results from peers in cross-functional positions

  • Assignments can be difficult in nature, but involves limited responsibility

  • Familiarity with wireless network infrastructure and industry knowledge a plus

  • Basic understanding of raw material and commodity markets that affect component costs

  • Assist and participate in enterprise project/program plans and support in the measurement of performance metrics

  • Assist in RFP/RFQ activities for multi-source vendor qualification

  • Coordinate vendor meetings to track progress against plans

  • Identify and escalate issues and recommend resolution solutions to help keep program schedule on track

  • Understanding of planning and inventory management processes and systems

  • Participate in vendor negotiation activities

  • Assist in materials and business award recommendations

  • Support vendor and part number onboarding activities

  • Proactive communication and interaction with cross-functional project team members

  • Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities

  • Developing problem solving skills

  • Must be detailed oriented

  • Must be skilled at multi-tasking

  • Identifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for use on electronic equipment

  • Uses a basic understanding of the supply chain process and familiarity with the suppliers and OEMs who provide wireless network material and equipment

  • Works with Construction and Transport teams to design and develop specifications to identify tower site and Data Center for new and existing products

  • Creates new part numbers and Approved Vendor List (AVL)

  • Identifies new wireless network suppliers and OEMs

  • Periodically meets with vendors to obtain information regarding new technologies and lower-cost solutions

  • Monitor and track product costs, evaluating for cost reduction opportunities

  • Creates internal specifications based on component requirements

    Compensation: $48,000.00/Yr. - $66,000.00/Yr.
