A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control.
Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production.
Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
Assists in determining possible and actual shortages.
May initiate action to correct these deficiencies.
Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.
Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
May need to crouch, bend, and lift material up to 50 lbs.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Requiresa high school degree/GED or equivalent and minimum of 4 years of experience.
Requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices typically gained through prior work experience and/or education.
Requires minimum of 4 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
Nice to Have
-Proficient in SAP
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel
-Capable of independent work direction while quickly re-prioritizing as necessary to meet business needs.
-Strong analytical skills
-DMAIC Yellow Belt or higher
-Understands Plan For Every Part (PFEP) concepts
