UCHealth Lifeline Manager Specialty Transport in Loveland, Colorado
The LifeLine Manager of Specialty Transport provides leadership, strategic coordination and the resources necessary to support UCHealth LifeLine transport teams at their assigned base locations. Working in tandem with the Program Director and transport teams, the Manager of Specialty Transport will actively manage and represent a cohesive emergency medical services alliance with UCHealth LifeLine, Ground EMS and all other public safety organizations In every situation, UCHealth LifeLine will do what is right for the patient. This service-focused philosophy is reflected in the Manager of Specialty Transport's main objective to ensure the delivery of a cohesive array of transport services to meet customer oriented, high-quality patient care, in a safe and efficient manner. Working in concert with our partners and the LifeLine management team, the Manager of Specialty Transport will support the mission of UCHealth LifeLine through the removal of operational barriers while persistently seeking efficiencies in systems and service delivery through effective problem solving, continuous improvement, servant leadership, communication and team building skills.
This position includes oversight of: 1 helicopter, 1 critical care ground ambulance, 2 ALS LifeLine IFT ambulances, 1 BLS LifeLine IFT ambulance, 35 staff members.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days
Based at Medical Center of the Rockies Loveland, CO
Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Supports special projects and business analysis as requested.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Bachelor's degree in Business or a relevant field orequivalent work experience.
Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse orParamedic (EMT-P). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
5 years of critical care clinical experience and 3 years ofmanagement experience in critical care
Previous experience as aregistered professional nurse, paramedic or respiratory care practitioner ishighly desirable.
Ability to design,execute and measure an effective business and marketing plan.
Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills.

Excellent public relations, interpersonal, andcustomer service skills.
Ability to communicateprofessionally, effectively, and clearly.
Remains cognizant oflocal EMS county protocols and requirements.
Maintains ongoingknowledge of and communicate the importance of SOP’s.

Remain aware andunderstand the political environment both internally and externally.
Ability to work within astrong team environment.
Understands HelicopterAir Ambulance (HAA) and EMS ground operations.
Familiar with Commissionon Accreditation of Medical transport Systems (CAMTS)
