Manages the overall Operations function, which includes Facilities, Warehouse, Transportation, Inbound Receiving and vehicle maintenance shop.
Model Leadership skills including the proven ability to lead change, develop Associates and drive accountability and results.
Prepare forecast and budget for total operations department. Monitor expenses, prepare long-range facilities plans.
Achieve budgeted profit results and preserve capital investments in facilities and equipment.
Evaluate the overall Operations results (safety, productivity, profitability) and present performance to plan to the Branch President.
Ensure the Optimum use of systems technology including, ERP, Warehouse Management Systems, and Delivery Management Systems
Effectively communicates the Branch goals and initiatives to Operational Associates.
Collaborates effectively with the SGA Enterprise. Ensures communication and alignment of Initiatives and KPI’s with SBU’s, OU’s and Functional departments.
Manages internal and external audits including Silliker and other similar customer food safety reviews.
Education – bachelor’s Degree in business administration, logistics or equivalent job experience.
5-10 years of distribution experience, five or more in management roles, with emphasis in transportation and fleet maintenance, warehouse, facilities, Procurement and QC/Inventory Control.
Special knowledge and experience with WMS, ERP Operating Systems, computer systems software and financial management a plus.
Knowledge and experience with financial reports, inventory reports, plus the ability to compile and analyze data.
Accurate and proficient in calculations, reading graphs, analyzing trends, organizing workload, trouble-shooting in problem areas, manage, negotiate, etc.
Knowledge and experience of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration guidelines relative to reporting HOS, HAZMAT, and keeping in compliance with all governmental regulations.
MS Office environment experience required, e.g. Excel, Access, Word, etc.Working knowledge of ERP operating System
Accurately operate software applications associated with the data analysis.
Skilled communicator; listening, coaching, counseling, and praising associates in building and maintaining a positive working environment with all levels of Associates.
Maintain facility OSHA and state regulatory compliance.
Promote and maintain a positive, professional environment.
Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruption. Meet required deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written with all levels of associates. Interaction with staff and management required to obtain team/branch goals.
Analytical and attention to detail to maintain precise standards.
Ability to trouble-shoot and manage to crisis situations.
Effectively promote career development for associates.
Must be capable of sharing and articulating the branch vision and goals, capable of long-term planning, facilitating the strategies and action steps needed to exceed expectations, both department and Branch-related.
Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test.
Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve problems.
