MISSION FOODS Chip Line Worker 2nd Shift in Pueblo, Colorado
POSITION: Chip Line Worker 2nd ShiftDUTIES: Responsible to replace individual packages into boxes and palletizesuch boxes according to production and quality specifications.* Perform all product-handling activities in a packaging work-cell (i.e.,counting, packing, sealing, labeling, placing bags in boxes, palletizing).* Pack special products using the discharge chute and carousel equipment.* Verify the appropriate code date of the product according to thespecification.* Verify that product count, weight, and appearance is within specifiedparameters and conforms to clients' expectations.* Legibly complete required process forms.* Move and set up equipment at product changeovers.* Report any abnormality in finished products to lead or supervisor.* Verify machinery is in good working condition.* Maintain his/her work area clean.* Assist in training if new personnel.REQUIREMENTS:OTHER REQUIREMENTS:* Must know how to read, write, add and subtract* Must be able to lift 50lbsPhysical Requirements (All requirements are subject to possible modificationto reasonably accommodate individuals with a disability.)* Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, polesand the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility isemphasized.* Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking,standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.* Stooping: Bending body downward and forward bending spine at the waist.* Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on level surface.* Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.* Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees and extruding/flexion.* Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) with full extension ofelbow in any direction.* Standing: To maintain entire body in erect posture without changinglocation.* Walking: To move entire body for some distance, moving about on foot.* Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steadyforce in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.* Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haulor tug objects in a sustained motion.* Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or movingobjects horizontally from position to position.* Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily withfingers rather than with the whole arm as in handling.* Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.* Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperatureor texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.* Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
