Transportation-Trade Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Transportation Trade Operations Manager will manage processes and programs needed to move product across borders and provide value to internal organizations across North America.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage Trade Operations programs which support movement of products in and out of the United States and Canada, in accordance with company policy and procedure, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Manage Importer of Record (IOR) services Global processes, cost improvement initiatives, performance of third party providers with regards to import/export execution and new requests to support internal businesses.

  • Manage USMCA program, process improvements and assist with implementation and processes for Preferential Tariff Programs.

  • Manage regulation changes on country of origin used for imports, determine impacts and process changes needed for compliance.

  • Manage country of origin determination program for integration centers, including accuracy, process improvement and compliance.

  • Manage regulation changes and processes on valuation used for imports and exports.

  • Initiate system recommendations and support documentation to promote import/export process requirements or enhancements.

  • Manage Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) programs.

  • Ensure the effective use of ACE and associated administration of the ACE account; assist with AES audits, resolving errors and responding to CBP inquiries.

  • Partner with cross-functional departments in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant activities and processes for each program.

  • Manage training programs with internal departments to ensure process adherence and compliance to established procedures for each program.

  • Analyze, perform gap analysis and recommendations for new programs to support import/export processes and cost improvements, such as ISA.

  • Monitor, record, analyze and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations related to Trade Operations programs.

  • Resolve Import/Export issues and customs problems on an as needed basis.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor degree in related area or equivalent work experience

  • 5 to 10 years Trade Operations experience

  • Experience working with Trade Operations programs

  • Ability to retrieve, manipulate and present data

  • Strong project management and multitasking skills with adherence to deadlines

  • Ability to recognize opportunities and communicate to direct leadership

  • Ability to work well both independently and in a cross functional team environment

  • Strong MS Access, PowerPoint, and Excel skills

  • Experience working with a TMS, WMS and other Supply Chain systems

  • Experience in import and export rules and regulations

  • Experience working with small parcel, ocean, air freight, LTL shipments and carriers

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$79,830.00 - $97,570.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
