The Demand Coordinator is responsible for supporting ordering and tracking of Maxar’s internal demand. Working alongside the Demand Analyst to assist in aggregating our demand in manner that maximizes constellation efficiency. The Demand Coordinator identifies data required for product generation to include commercial imagery source, ground control points, elevation data and other sources. Also responsible for monitoring production components to ensure timely and effective delivery to end-customers. The Demand Coordinator utilizes a combination of proprietary and commercial-off-the-shelf software suites to perform work required.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluation and selection of source material for imagery projects
Perform imagery quality assessment on proprietary software
Manage Ordering & Delivery components including AWS, FTP and physical media
Provide effective communication with team members, cross-departmental staff and customers regarding status, milestones, issues and resolution
Perform basic order entry processes in support of product fulfillment
FTP, FireWire and AWS transfer, delivery and data management
Monitor system components including hard drive production
Identify delivery system processing errors and provide first tier troubleshooting
Packaging of physical media
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience working with ArcMap or other GIS applications
Basic SQL, Python, Unix/Linux knowledge a plus
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and File Transfer Protocols
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, emphasis in Excel
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS or equivalent work experience desired
Skills and Experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with remote sensing products and applications
Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to support time-sensitive requirements
Developing corrective actions and preventative solutions
Knowledgeable in resource management
Managing deadlines and prioritize workloads
Leading continuous improvement initiatives
